The History and Science behind the South River

London Town & Arundel Rivers Federation

Rod Cofield, Executive Director of Historic London Town and Gardens, informally talks with Jesse Iliff, Riverkeeper for Arundel Rivers Federation, about the history and environment of the South River.

The South River is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. London Town began as a colonial port town on the South River. Today, it's a non-profit museum and gardens in Edgewater, Maryland. The South River is one of the rivers that the non-profit Arundel Rivers Federation monitors and helps restore.
